Listening first. A practical, local voice for Pittsford and Proctor in Montpelier.
I’d appreciate your vote.
“My approach to public service is rooted in listening to the people I represent.”
Understanding how decisions made in Montpelier affect our towns, and bringing a practical local perspective to the Legislature. I’m running for re-election because I want to continue working on the issues I hear about every day in Pittsford and Proctor.
- Affordability
- Property taxes
- Education

- Economic opportunity
- Character of our communities
Priorities

Strong local schools
As a mother of three sons who have attended, and continue to attend, our local schools, I understand how important those schools are to families and to the identity of our communities.
We should work to preserve strong local schools and meaningful local control while also finding smarter ways to reduce costs, streamline administration, and direct more education dollars where they belong: into classrooms and toward students.
A Vermont the next generation can afford
Like so many parents, I want my three sons to have the opportunity to build their lives here in Vermont.
That means tackling the rising cost of housing, property taxes, and everyday expenses so that young people, working families, and longtime Vermonters are not priced out of the communities they call home.
“Vermont should be a place where the next generation can afford to stay, work, raise families, and put down roots.”
Rooted in Pittsford long before Montpelier
Alicia has spent years doing the unglamorous work of local government — and brings that perspective to the House.
In the House
Protecting Vermonters from sextortion & AI-generated abuse
Alicia co-sponsored H.626 and presented it to the full House for the Judiciary Committee on February 4, 2026 — and again on April 21, when the House accepted a Senate amendment adding tougher penalties for voyeurism against minors. Judiciary voted 10-0-1 both times.
Once an image is shared online, it can spread instantly and be nearly impossible to remove… Tragically, image based abuse disproportionately affects young people and can shape the rest of their lives. As technology advances, it is essential that our laws be updated to protect Vermonters in this new reality.
Crime victims’ right to know
Helped pass. Alicia presented the section requiring police to tell victims where a defendant is held, whether he’s been released, and how to sign up for automatic release alerts. Signed June 18, 2026.
A forensic facility for Vermont
“The status quo, what’s currently happening in Vermont, is just unacceptable and unsustainable. And so the fact that we are moving this along is a huge accomplishment.”
Realistic budgets, local decisions
“The budget was reasonable enough for the Governor to sign, but it’s doubled over the last 15 years. That’s not realistic.”
“I believe in local control of school finance.”
